Logistics Solutions handled one of most complicated deliveries handled in Georgia during past years. 96t General Electric gas turbines have been delivered to new 230MW combined cycle power plant constructed by Turkish Calik Enerji in Gardabani, Georgia. During transportation of 2 units of turbines company performed several infrastructural changes en route including removal of signboards, construction of temporary roads, etc.
Main challenges during project execution were height of 5.5m and turbine weight of 96t. Total transport configuration weight was 149t which is critical for bridges in Georgia.
Power plant will start generation of first KWs of electricity in September 2015.
