Construction of first wind power plant in Georgia to be finished in Summer 2016. The plant will be built near the city of Gori and will be implemented by Georgian Energy Development Fund.  Capacity of first WPP in Georgia will be about 20 MW and investment value is determined to be around 24-26 million US Dollars. There will be in total 6 WTGs installed. 

Logistically this will be one of most complicated projects for Georgia due to difficult relief and long distance to be covered from port of destination up to project site.

It is not clear yet which company will be awarded the contract for transportation of equipment.
